The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) partnered to host the inaugural She SOARS — Women in Aviation Summit from October 1–2, 2024, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
This unique summit is curated for women in aviation, including mid- and upper-management professionals, aviation HR leaders, airport governing authorities, government officials and industry association leaders. It will focus on women’s multifaceted advantages in the workplace, career growth, professional development, and well-being of the mind and soul. The two-day event will include discussions, inspiring speakers, networking and more!
Summit Goals:
Promote diversity and inclusion of women within the aviation industry
Foster confidence and resilience among women leaders
Equip aviation HR leaders and executive management with strategies and tools to attract, develop and retain diverse women

As a retiree, I want to help AMAC help women advance their careers in aviation by providing sound advice and encouragement. Women often don’t see themselves in a leadership role—we tend to be socialized, even in modern times, to settle for lower levels and not put ourselves forward. This summit will challenge those views and prod women to recognize their talents and gain the self-knowledge and courage to aspire to the C-suite. It also serves as a mentoring event to guide women on that journey.
