What is it?
A tournament-style pitch competition offering suppliers an opportunity to expand their business into the airport food and retail industry.
How will it work?
There are three (3) rounds: Runway 16, Ready Takeoff 8 and Final Approach 4.
For each round, participants will go before judges and provide details about their product. Judges can ask questions and provide advice. The judges will score each participant based on a variety of criteria. The highest scores from each group will advance.
The final round will be held in person at the AMAC Airport Business Conference before a panel of judges who can ultimately offer a deal or deals from which the participant can accept or decline.

Who can apply?
Supplier applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an AMAC member at the Business level; click here to join AMAC
- Be at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a minority group (African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Subcontinent Asian Americans) or a woman
- Established for a minimum of three (3) years
- Possess all necessary state licenses required by trade
- Possess at least one ACDBE, DBE, MBE, SBE or WBE certification
- Structured to scale and support expansion
- Sign a Hold Harmless agreement
- Sign the Rescission Letter
- Produces products in any of these Retail (Non-Consumable) or Food (Consumable) categories:
Retail (Non-Consumable)
- Souvenir
- Electronics
- Apparel
- Artisan, Crafts
Food (Consumable)
- Snack
- RTE meals
- Beverage (including but not limited to: RTD wine, alcohol, spirits, functional beverages, etc.)
- Ingredient (defined as a component or accompaniment to a finished product or meal)
