We will have various sessions focused on small business opportunities, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) opportunities, access to capital, and networking.

The event will be held in-person at USDOT Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and will include:

  • The first half of the day will include panel sessions with subject matter experts on how to do business with USDOT, best practices for federal contracting, and how to increase HUBZone utilization.
  • The second half of the day will be dedicated to the “Connections MarketPlace” portion including one-on-one business matchmaking, an interactive Stakeholder and Access to Capital Expo, and for the first time live Meet the Mentors Roundtable meetings.
    • Connections MarketPlace

Matchmaking

During the one-on-one matchmaking meetings, small businesses will be matched with large primes as well as federal, state, and local agencies. The meeting topics will consist of contracting opportunities, technical assistance, and helpful resources and information to small businesses.

Meet the Mentors Roundtable Meetings

During the 30 min. meetings, small businesses will learn from subject matter experts centered around small business federal contracting, and technical assistance. Each table will have different topic with a free flowing “first come, first served” environment. Each roundtable will have 1 host subject matter expert and up to 9 small businesses.

Business Expo

At the Expo, small and disadvantaged businesses will be able to leverage key DOT partnerships with technical assistance providers and federal partners like the Small Business Administration (SBA), the US Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to access the resources they need to succeed. In addition, we plan to invite financial institutions, Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs), and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to offer valuable insight on financial growth opportunities.

We look forward to seeing you there!
