Claudia Lezcano – Bringing The Heat

In a career spanning over two decades, Claudia Lezcano has built an impressive executive resume in the quick-service industry, working with global brands such as Burger King and Church’s Chicken, as well as in professional sports, including the Miami Marlins and Miami Dolphins. Notably, the latter organization has had the distinction of serving as the first Latina Chief Marketing Officer in the National Football League.

Claudia now uses the sum of all those experiences as an accelerant in her duties as the CEO of fuku, Chef David Chang’s fast casual spicy fried chicken concept. Listen as she shares what she’s learned and experienced in her career and how that has shaped her in her current role.

Claudia Lezcano is the CEO of fuku, the fast-casual spicy fried chicken concept founded by David Chang and the Momofuku restaurant group. Since taking the helm, she has significantly expanded fuku’s national footprint across major sports and entertainment venues, increased system-wide sales year-on-year, and strategically positioned the brand for domestic and international expansion and franchising opportunities. Bringing an entrepreneurial mindset, Claudia has over 25 years of corporate leadership experience, having worked for major global brands such as Burger King, Church’s Texas Chicken, the MLB’s Miami Marlins, and the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. She was the first female and Latina Chief Marketing Officer in the NFL. She is known for cultivating trusted business and stakeholder relationships while developing high-performing, diverse and empowered teams within a respectful and inclusive work culture. Claudia currently serves on the board for Brooklyn Dumpling Shop and has previously served as a board member for MyVenue and Bluestone Lane.
