Charleston County Aviation Authority ACDBE Stakeholders Meeting

In fulfillment of the U.S. Department of Transportation requirements, as set forth in 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 23, the Charleston County Aviation Authority (The Authority) hereby announces its proposed Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) goal for federal fiscal years 2024 through 2026 (beginning October 1, 2023, and ending September 30, 2026).

The Authority’s overall proposed goal for Car Rental Concessions for the period is 4.1% of gross receipts of total expenditures on goods/services of car rental operations at the Charleston International Airport. The Authority anticipates achieving its overall goal by obtaining .4% from race-neutral participation and 3.7% from race-conscious participation.

The Authority’s overall proposed goal for Non-Car Rental Concessions for the period is 4.7% of gross receipts of non-car rental concessions at the Charleston International Airport. The Authority anticipates achieving its overall goal by obtaining .2% from race-neutral participation and 4.5% from race-conscious participation.

The proposed goal and its attendant methodology are available for inspection between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Charleston County Aviation Authority, 5500 International Blvd., #101, North Charleston, SC 29418-6911, and on the CHS website www.iflychs.com for 30 days from the date of this publication.

The Stakeholders meeting will be held in person and online on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 11:00 am

Judges

Each Runway to Success Competition will feature a judging panel composed of industry executives and business owners with expertise across the airport, aviation and transportation sectors, including operations, procurement and supplier management.

The final pitch competition, held at the AMAC Airport Business Conference, will feature a VIP panel of leaders from the largest airport food and retail operators in North America who possess the authority to extend a business offer.

Suppliers

Supplier applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Suppliers of Goods and Services Positioned to Support Growth, Innovation or Customer Experience in the Aviation Industry

  • Suppliers Offering Strategic, Innovative or Scalable Solutions

  • Must Be Registered as a Legal Business Entity and in Good Standing

  • At Least 51% Minority- or Woman-Owned

  • Able to Clearly Articulate the Value of Their Product or Service in a Short Pitch Format

  • Must Be Available to Attend the Live Pitch Event

  • Must Not Currently Have or Be In the Process of Establishing an Agreement With Any Operators or Airport Concessionaires

HOSTS

AMAC is accepting applications from partners to host one of the eight (8) first-round Runway to Success Supplier Pitch Competitions.

Hosting a first-round competition is critical to the overall Runway to Success Supplier Competition. Each host site serves as a gateway for local and regional entrepreneurs, small businesses and ACDBEs to access AMAC’s national platform and connect to contracting and partnership opportunities.
