AUS Expansion and Development Program Session Two: Get Set

Join us for Session Two of a three-part pre-industry day series to prepare for the upcoming Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) Expansion and Development Program (AEDP) projects. This session will be a virtual event that will provide the following:

  • Update on the AEDP
  • Update and Schedule on the expected procurements
  • BREAKOUT ROOMS for more detailed information about the projects in the following categories:

  • Construction
  • Utilities
  • Update of the potential specific scopes for the projects

Who Should Attend: Any professional services, construction, or aviation services firms interested in helping AUS expand, especially if you’re a small, local, or diverse business.

About Austin Airport Expansion & Development Program

Journey With AUS – the Austin Airport Expansion and Development Program – is a multi-billion dollar strategic, phased approach to guiding construction and improvement projects and near-term improvements to address record-breaking growth at AUS. The program will enable AUS to meet the air service needs of Central Texas, maintain excellent passenger experience, and provide flexible expansion for dynamic airline growth. Contracting and solicitation have already begun. The airport plans to pursue more than 20 different procurements through Q2 2025.

The Small and Minority Business Resources Department (SMBR) administers the Minority-Owned, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Procurement Programs for the City of Austin. Our mission is to promote access and equity on the City of Austin contracts, providing economic opportunity to small, minority-owned, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses.

Judges

Each Runway to Success Competition will feature a judging panel composed of industry executives and business owners with expertise across the airport, aviation and transportation sectors, including operations, procurement and supplier management.

The final pitch competition, held at the AMAC Airport Business Conference, will feature a VIP panel of leaders from the largest airport food and retail operators in North America who possess the authority to extend a business offer.

Suppliers

Supplier applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Suppliers of Goods and Services Positioned to Support Growth, Innovation or Customer Experience in the Aviation Industry

  • Suppliers Offering Strategic, Innovative or Scalable Solutions

  • Must Be Registered as a Legal Business Entity and in Good Standing

  • At Least 51% Minority- or Woman-Owned

  • Able to Clearly Articulate the Value of Their Product or Service in a Short Pitch Format

  • Must Be Available to Attend the Live Pitch Event

  • Must Not Currently Have or Be In the Process of Establishing an Agreement With Any Operators or Airport Concessionaires

HOSTS

AMAC is accepting applications from partners to host one of the eight (8) first-round Runway to Success Supplier Pitch Competitions.

Hosting a first-round competition is critical to the overall Runway to Success Supplier Competition. Each host site serves as a gateway for local and regional entrepreneurs, small businesses and ACDBEs to access AMAC’s national platform and connect to contracting and partnership opportunities.
