On September 20, 2026, the AMAC Chicago Chapter welcomed aviation professionals, business leaders, community partners and guests from across the country for AMAC Chicago Soars: An Evening at the Obama Presidential Center. The event took place the eve of the 3rd Annual AMAC She SOARS — Women in Aviation Summit, giving the AMAC community a chance to gather and connect while experiencing one of Chicago’s newest cultural landmarks. The chapter welcomed 220 guests at its VIP reception in the Sky Room and more than 300 at the main event.

Guests were treated to an evening of entertainment featuring DJ Lil Tiff, Chicago recording artist Terisa Griffin and the CoverGirls Violinists. Chicago native and Grammy, Emmy and Academy Award-winning artist Common also made a special appearance, as did who may have been the most popular guest of the evening! Guests also had access to the museum to enjoy the exhibits at their leisure in a quiet environment. This was moving and will be something remembered long after the event itself.
In addition to bringing the aviation community together, Chicago Soars served as a fundraiser for the AMAC Chicago Chapter. Proceeds will support the Chapter’s year-round programming and efforts to provide scholarships to college-bound students in aviation and related fields, advance professional development, business opportunities, industry engagement and educate the next generation of aviation leaders.
