On March 17, 2026, the AMAC Foundation’s Project Leaders Inspiring Future Talent (LIFT) event brought students face-to-face with the world of aviation at Martin State Airport (MTN) and the Maryland Aerospace Heritage Center. Through a guided airport tour led by MTN staff, participants explored aircraft operations, facilities, and the future site of the air traffic control tower while gaining a deeper understanding of aviation environments.
At the Maryland Aerospace Heritage Center, students engaged in dynamic speed-networking sessions with professionals across accounting, operations, legal, engineering, and maintenance, gaining insight into career pathways and industry expectations. The experience also featured a hands-on B-26 assembly project, where students collaborated in a team-based manufacturing simulation that strengthened communication and problem-solving skills.
With participation from partners including the Maryland Air National Guard, Community College of Baltimore County and the Maryland Aerospace Heritage Center, Project LIFT continues to spark curiosity and open doors for the next generation of aviation leaders.
