On May 15th, AMAC LA participated in the Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA) networking and outreach event, presenting upcoming concessions opportunities.
While LAWA Board of Airport Commissioners President Karim Webb, Chief Executive Officer John Ackerman, and Deputy Executive Director of Commercial Development Dave Jones shared LAWA’s vision of the future LAX guest experience, AMAC LA connected with many new and current AMAC
members.
At the event, the airport leaders emphasized LAWA’s commitment to world-class guest services, economic inclusion, and innovative market opportunities as they transform facilities and amenities to enhance the guest experience at LAX. AMAC LA is a partner to LAWA in that endeavor and an excellent resource for emerging and small businesses. AMAC LA board members Apryl Stewart, Theodora Oyie, and Melvin Price engaged with event attendees, informing them of how being a member of the local chapter of AMAC increases access to industry education, news about aviation business and career opportunities and grows their professional network.
AMAC LA gained several new members, and we met them at the outreach event and shared helpful information with them. Stay tuned as AMAC LA develops exciting programs and continues to partner with LAWA to support the success of local, small, and diverse aviation businesses.
