Andres Garcia of AECOM and Sade Olanipekun-Lewis of Vantage Airport Group Join the AMAC Foundation Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, DC (August 22, 2022) —The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Foundation is pleased to announce the following appointments to its Board of Directors: Andres Garcia, Vice President/Program Manager for AECOM; and Sade Olanipekun-Lewis, Vice President, Operating & Community Partnerships for Vantage Airport Group.

About Andres Garcia
With over 37 years of professional experience, Andres has vast airport/aviation development knowledge. He served as the lead planner, engineer of record, and program and construction manager for large complex domestic and international projects throughout his career.

Since June 2013, Mr. Garcia assumed the position of Program Manager for Chicago’s highly successful O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP). One of the largest airfield development programs in history. Prior to this appointment, he served as a Senior Project Manager for the OMP since March of 2007. Also, as a member of the Global Aviation Business Line, Andres provides advisory and management services to large aviation development projects in Latin America.

About Sade Olanipekun-Lewis
Folasade (Sade) Olanipekun-Lewis is Vice President, Operating & Community Partnerships for Vantage Airport Group—an industry-leading investor, developer and manager of airports and transportation infrastructure worldwide. In this role, Ms. Olanipekun-Lewis leads the development and implementation of all community and organizational partnerships in support of Vantage’s airport and infrastructure development projects, with a particular focus on the development of JFK Terminal 6 and MWBE engagement.

Ms. Olanipekun-Lewis brings deep and varied experience in airline and airport management, infrastructure and finance to her role. Most recently, she served as Regional Director of Government and Airport Affairs for American Airlines, directing and coordinating all political, governmental and community strategies to support the airline’s local and national business goals.

Prior to joining American, Ms. Olanipekun-Lewis held executive leadership roles at the City of Philadelphia, including serving as Deputy Commerce Director and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Ms. Olanipekun-Lewis completed secondary school in Nigeria, West Africa; obtained an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Graduate Center, City University of New York, CUNY BA Program; a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law; and a Master’s degree in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, Fels School of Government.
