Session Description
A more equitable, accessible, safe and diverse global transportation system will require multi-disciplinary engagement and leadership: academia and research, policymakers at all levels, community engagement, and the variety of unique membership associations created to provide networking, learning, and advocacy for transportation professionals. In this roundtable chat, C-Suite leaders of nonprofits and leading agencies in transportation and engineering will have a candid, interactive conversation on the roles not-for-profit organizations—as well as membership associations, educational and government institutions, and community-based organizations—play in advancing DEI initiatives and gender equity in the transportation sector.
