DESCRIPTION:The City of Phoenix Aviation Department will host a virtual Aviation Business Summit on March 16, 2023. The virtual event is designed to give interested businesses the opportunity to learn, network, and understand the tools available for doing business with Sky Harbor, Deer Valley, and Goodyear airports.\nSome topics covered at this year’s event will include information on our procurement process and fulfilling contract commitments, a review of the different certification programs, highlights of sustainability initiatives at our airports, and presentations by some of our divisions. Providing you with insights on how to become an Aviation business partner.\nFulfilling Contract Commitments\nThis session will discuss Contractor expectations during their contract term and how to establish and maintain a successful partnership to remain in good standing with PHX from contract start to closeout.\nShould I Get Certified?\nThis workshop will provide an overview of the City’s small business certification programs and how concession contracts are monitored at PHX.\nLet’s Talk Concessions\nThis panel features airport concessionaires as they discuss their journey of building their business at the airport, working with small businesses, and navigating the city process.\nAll Things Design & Construction\nTune in to hear from our Design and Construction division, learn what they do, and what opportunities are on the horizon.
